    EDITORS FAVOURITES

With regards to makeup, there will always be some firm staples; things that I will constantly reach for on those days when I don’t know what I want to put on le visage and things that I know I will continue to repurchase, time after time. I’ve recently had a few new makeup staples come into the mix as well as a few older and more obvious things but they’re still very much loved by moi!

In all honesty, I think that my first high end foundation will always be my favourite, despite the fact that it breaks me out, the YSL Touche Eclatfoundation will always have a place in my makeup mess. It has really nice coverage and there’s such a vast shade range and just looks really nice on the face. A slightly more newer favourite of mine is the Revlon Nearly Nakedfoundation which is fantastic if you want a natural and dewy look on the skin, I love the fact that although Revlon is a drugstore brand, their shade range is on point. My one and only concealer favourite goes in the form of the Maybelline Fit Me concealer which is more of a medium coverage concealer that covers both under eye circles and blemishes and kind of has an airbrushed appearance to it.

As of yet, I haven’t tried a better contour than the one from sleek, it has a way of chiselling the cheek and jaw bones. There’s no orangey tone in it and doesn’t look too dark and mucky on the skin but it still has a nice natural look to it. If someone were to ask what my favourite blusher was, I would hands down say the Topshop Blush in Let Her Go which is a lovely pinky, coral colour which is great for all seasons and looks fantastic on any skin tione.

With makeup, I’m all about the eyes, I love the many ways in which you can change up your makeup just be tweaking a few things here and there. My absolute favourite eyeshadow has got to be the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On&On Bronze which is a gorgeous everyday neutral colour which can be worn on its own or smoked up for a sultry evening look. Nowadays whenever I have a winged eye, I use the Collection Felt Tip Liner as it’s amazingly precise and super-duper pigmented and I love the fact that you can control the thickness of the line. If you are an avid reader of my blog, you’ll know that my favourite brow product is TheBody Shop Brow&Liner kit as it’s not to red toned and is so easy to perfect the brows with. The shade that I get (03) also makes for the ultimate smokey eye kit.

Picking my favourite lip products was very easy. The first one is my all-time favourite holy grail lipstick, Diva by MAC which is a gorgeous deep reddy/purple vampy lip which I tend to whip out when I’m going out in the evenings or when I have really basic makeup and need something bold to complete it. On the sheerer side of things, I really like the Maybelline Colour Whisper in the shade Rose of Attraction. I love this lipstick so much that when I misplaced it, I got so annoyed, especially since they’re not available here in the UK. It’s a pretty sheer rosy, mauve colour and has some shimmery particles which catch the light beautifully.

When it comes to eye primer, I’m all about the Urban Decay primer potion which has been a blogger favourite for such a long time. It’s the best primer I’ve tried for the eyes and nicely increases the longevity of my makeup and I don’t think my eye makeup has ever creased with this primer on. Although I love my Bourjois primer, I’ve got a soft spot for the Maybelline Baby Skin primer which mattifies and preps the skin for makeup and keeps my face makeup looking better for longer.
