IF YOU BUY ONE THING THIS MONTH: NARS SHEER GLOW

The Nars Sheer Glow foundation is one that has been loved by many bloggers over the years and has become an absolute staple in many makeup bags. I’ve really delved into bases – foundations, concealers, powders etc. but I still don’t know why I didn’t pick this try this sooner. I’m personally already a fan of Nars. From the classic, matte black packaging, to the actual product inside which, has yet to disappoint me.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS
I bought this foundation online, so I had to gauge my shade by using online swatches and makeup forums so when I tried it for the first time, I applied a little bit to my jaw to see if it was a good match for me – and thankfully it was! When I started applying it to my face with the brush, I was pleasantly surprised with how light it is in consistency because it was still providing me with a nice medium coverage without looking cakey. The texture itself was also really nice as it had a somewhat silky feel to it.

    THE PRODUCT
The shade itself (New Guinea) is a perfect match for my skin tone with the correct undertone. Although the foundation has a light consistency, it has a medium, but buildable coverage – perfect to cover any light blemishes, as you don’t need to go over it with a thick and heavy concealer. One of my favourite properties of this foundation is that it has a nice dewy finish, which is my personal preference as it just gives a nice all-over radiance to the skin. The longevity of this foundation is also really good as I’ve worn this on days when I’ve been rushing all around town and even worked up a sweat, but it doesn’t budge or add to the sweaty mess!

My only criticism (along with that of many others) is that the foundation doesn’t have a pump and it just creates a tedious task of trying to get the correct amount of product on the back of my hand. I know you can purchase a pump separately, but then you can’t put the lid on it. However as always, the packaging is on par, with the matte black lid and glossy bottle. The foundation retails for £31.00 for 30ml, however considering you don’t need lots and you get an extensive shade and undertone range to choose from, I think it’s well worth it!

Have you tried the Nars Sheer Glow? What do you think?

    1. I love Nars Sheer Glow, one of the best foundations for combination skin in my opinion which is ironic because it has glow in the name. I find it to be really flattering both in real life and in photos. Gorgeous product, wish they would add a pump! Thanks for sharing, I need to pick up a new bottle! Xx
