Over the past year or so, I've been really getting into perfecting my base. I went through a phase of loving foundations and I've tried a number of concealers, from both the drugstore and high end, but these are the best of the bunch that I have personally tried! Along with foundation and powder, concealer is one of those things that differs from person to person. One person may want to conceal their under eye circles and another person may want to highlight their face to the gods!
The best concealer for ... Concealing Blemishes: Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer
When I need to conceal a major spot or blemish I always opt for this concealer. I've tried using this under my eyes, but I find that it creases on me quite badly. I like using it on spots and blemishes as it nicely conceals my areas of concern without looking heavy or cakey. Being in a pan form means that I can use a small, dense brush and pinpoint the product exactly where I want it.
The best concealer for ... Highlighting: YSL Touche Eclat Highlighting Pen
I absolutely love this for highlighting under my eyes and on the key points of my face (nose, brow bone, centre of forehead). It's not heavy or cakey under the eyes and it still has a good amount of coverage for those days where you don't want to layer up on the concealer front. The shade range is quite limited, but isn't the worse out there.
The best concealer for ... Concealing Under Eye Circles: Bobbi Brown Corrector
The Bobbi Brown corrector is a really good product for cancelling out any dark under eye circles or veins on your eyelids. I have a peachy shade which reduces the appearance of the darkness under my eyes. It's nice and creamy so blends in really well and I haven't found it to crease under my eyes either.
The best concealer for ... An All-Rounder: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
This is my all-time favourite concealer and is a good all rounder concealer. It's a great for concealing blemishes as well as under eye circles as I find that it doesn't really crease under my eyes. This is a good medium coverage concealer, however despite having good coverage, it doesn't look or feel cakey and it blends so easily. Similarly to the other concealers, there is such an extensive shade range.
