I am constantly buying
new clothes for my wardrobe, due to the fact that I don’t have a uniform for
anything I do, whether it is work or college. Despite these new pieces, I’ve
found that I still gravitate to those classic staples in my wardrobe.
Ever since getting my
plain, Neat Sweatshirt from ASOS,
I’ve not stopped wearing it. I have literally been living in it! I find that
it’s the easiest thing to chuck on in the mornings, whether you’re wearing
jeans, leggings, a skirt, or even if you want to lounge around in it. I love
wearing this sweatshirt, especially when I feel like absolute sh*t. It somewhat
hides a multitude of sins and doesn’t look too casual as it’s unbranded.
Just like the plain
sweatshirt, a chunky knit jumper is also nice to throw on! My favourites have to come from Ralph Lauren
and ASOS as they do such amazing knitwear. Especially for the colder months,
knitted jumpers help keep you warm by layering. Another staple in my wardrobe
is my ASOS Chunky Knitted Sweater.
The camel colour makes it really easy and versatile to wear with a variety of
other pieces!
There are a few other
pieces, which I think are most likely to also be staples in most of your
wardrobes too. The first being a Plain White Tee. This is such a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down,
simple by adding jeans and a pair of trainers to make it more casual or a
statement necklace to make it more dressy! The next staple is a nice pair of Denim Jeans. In my opinion, you can’t
have too many pairs of jeans, as they are another versatile piece! A Leather Jacket is one of those wardrobe
essentials that is an absolute classic and never gets old. It can be worn
throughout any season, with pretty much any outfit for any occasion (maybe not
a wedding, but you get the gist).
And finally, a staple
for everyone is a pair of Converses!
I think everyone should own at least one pair of converses in their wardrobe.
They can be worn both formally and informally and with dresses and jeans etc.
What are some of your
wardrobe essentials?
