When it comes to having a concise, but versatile wardrobe, there are a handful of items that are absolute essentials in anyone’s wardrobe, irrespective of personal style or taste and these are the items that always seem to make the cut. These are somewhat basic capsule picks – the items that I constantly go back to and know that I can rely on as you know what you’re getting with them. The definition of a capsule wardrobe is "a collection of a few essential items of clothing that don't go out of fashion, such as skirts, trousers, and coats, which can then be augmented with seasonal pieces."

PROS OF A CAPSULE WARDROBE: There are many advantages to having a capsule wardrobe – the main one being that its nice knowing that everything is pretty basic and will go with everything and in turn, this will save a lot of time in the mornings deciding what to wear (more time in bed, yes!) This is especially important if you’re someone who invests in their pieces, as you know that these items are classic and timeless pieces, which will get a lot of use, and the cost per wear will decrease over time.
