Over the past couple of years, there has
been one type of item that has become a firm staple in my wardrobe, and that is
a shirt. I have found various different ways to incorporate shirts into my
style, whether it’s wearing casually to go shopping, on a night out and
obviously to interviews. Shirts are very formal pieces of attire, however I
like wearing them to balance out an outfit, particularly if I feel like my
outfit is too casual and needs to be a tad more on the formal side.
HAWES
& CURTIS
Hawes & Curtis are renowned for
their vast array of shirts for both men and women. There are different designs
ranging from garish to understated to suit lots of different styles, occasions
and moods. These shirts are made from such high quality material and will
really stand the test of time. I opted for the Women’s White & Blue Stripe Fitted Shirt* (£29.50) which is a
lovely simple pinstripe shirt which just so happens to fare well with denim
jeans, a midi skirt and cobalt accessories to compliment the blue stripes on
the shirt.
DENIM - I love
mixing formalwear with denim. I find that it really tones down an outfit and
makes it a lot more wearable for the daytime and more casual occasions. Some
days, I’ll pop on a pair of ballerina flats, and other’s I’ll whack on a pair
of heels.
