As it it the end of 2013, I thought I'd share with you some of the products that I have been loving throughout the year, that I have constantly gone back to; my annual staples if you will. Admittedly, some of the products were released later on in the year, however the ones shown are products that I have not stopped using since I purchased them. I have picked out 13 products for my 2013 favourites and a few bloggers and vloggers too!
Ever since purchasing this, I've never looked back. Having tried a few other primers, none of them have compared to this, and this is the one that I always go back to. Regardless of how long my eyeshadow is on for, there is no creasing as it creates a nice even base for my eyeshadow.
When it comes to foundations, I'm not really into matte foundations, duey all the way for me! However this foundation isn't matte or duey; more silky than anything. It nicely evens out my skintone and matches my undertone perfectly. It looks flawless and hides imperfections really well and the colour range is great too!
When it comes to the sleek palettes, I cannot fault them. In the 'Oh So Special' and 'Storm' palette the 12 shades you receive in each of them are a greatly pigmented and easily blendable range of shades that are completely opposite on the spectrum wheel, for example green and purple shades; this means that you get a lovely variety of colours for unique and versatile looks.
Without a shadow of a doubt, I've never been obsessed with any mascara as much as the MAC mascara. I've probably repurchased this mascara about 5/6 times as I've loved it for about a year and a half now. It's great if you want pretty long lashes that aren't clumpy and spidery. They make your lashes look long, fluttery and natural.
Ever since I got this, I've never stopped using it. The shade 'Berry Ready' is definitely my favourite and most used shade out of the six that I own. The formula is really soft and moisturising and when it is being applied on the lips; feels like butter. It has a nice slim canister and the shade of the lid represents the colour of the lipstick, which is great if you have quite a few shades as it makes it easier to distinguish the shades.
Okay I lied, I've actually liked the Revlon Lip Butters for over a year, but who's counting? They have a lovely moisturising formula and a great colour range. There's a colour for all as they have a big range of 20 shades. They last a considerably long time and wear off nicely too.
When I picked up my first RKM lipstick, I immediately went back for more shades. I love how some of them are matte and the others quite creamy on the lips with a bit of sheen to them. All of the shades are really pigmented and last a really long time. You know I like a product, when I recommend it to a friend...or three.
I have tried quite a few brow products over the year and even if I love a certain brow product, I always go back to the Brow and Liner Kit; whether I'm in a rush, or not thinking about what brow product I'm using, I just always go back to it. It's definitely one of the staple products in my collection.
With my skin tone, I sometimes find it hard to find a powder that doesn't make my complexion look ashy or ghost like. I like the fact that this powder is completely transparent and is nice and light on the skin, to the point where I don't even know I've applied powder. It prolongs the wear of my foundation nicely too without eliminating a nice natural and healthy glow.
When I finally got my hands on this brush and used it a few times, I understood why people love it, despite the price tag. I've found that this brush is good for everyone, whether you're just starting out in makeup or if your like me and can be a bit lazy sometimes, as it does all of the work for you. It can make a shoddy eye makeup job look great as it perfectly blends out any harsh lines. I'll definitely be picking up more of these in the upcoming year!
Believe it or not, this was one of my first lipsticks that I have ever owned (hence the older packaging). This lipstick has great colour payoff and is really moisturising on the lips; which is why I find it a great lipstick to have in the Autumn/Winter time as it means you can have a pretty colour on your lips that won't be drying at all.
When I tried this liner, I was a newbie at gel liner as I had never tried them before. The not too wet formula and the accompanied brush made it so easy to apply. In my opinion this is a fool-proof product that is great for beginners as it's easy to rectify a mistake and gives a nice effortless finish to it.
CoutureGirl: I've been reading Kayleigh's blog before I started my own blog. Kayleigh's blog is one of the few blogs that made me want to start my own. I love reading her posts and she always has brilliant reviews and recommendations and I love how clear and crisp the photos on her blog are!
Lily Pebbles: Lily is another blogger who writes daily and she always tops herself as she is continuously coming out with new, cool ideas on what to write and she has some of the best nail polish posts too that are always worth a good read!
Vivianna Does Makeup: There's nothing better than waking up on a sunday morning with a video from Anna in your subscription box. Anna comes up with cool and unique videos all the time. Every week, I wonder what she's got coming next. She also has a great blog to, and since she writes daily posts, I'm never without a good read.
Mr Ben Brown: With Ben in my subscription box, you're never without some good footage to watch. When I watch Ben's vlogs, you can see how much work he puts into it to make it entertaining and enjoyable with good quality content.
Chloe Morello: There are many beauty bloggers/gurus on YouTube, and in all honesty; I only really subscribe to British gurus for the pure fact that you know you can get most of the products that they mention. Chloe does amazing tutorials and look books, but also favourites videos and hauls; they are presented in a way like no other and I love how she puts outfits together too!
Sawyer Hartman: When I found Sawyer's channel earlier this year, I became obsessed; to the point where I watched all of his previous videos through the night. I cannot get enough of his drunken collabs with Tyler and his 'thru my eyes' videos never disappoint.
