I would say my skincare routine is
pretty consistent, I only really change it up a few times a year, either when
the seasons are changing, a particular product isn’t working for my skin or if
my skin needs some help in a particular area, for example if it’s too oily or
too dry. I don’t like playing with lots at products at one time as I never know
how my skin will take to certain ingredients, but I’ve currently got a nice and
easy morning routine, which has been working rather well for me lately.
CLEANSER:
I have been pretty
consistent when it comes to cleansers, as I only really swap between a
handful of them, but I’ve really been enjoying The Body Shop Seaweed Cleanser which thoroughly cleanses my skin
and I like the way it lathes on my face. As it’s a seaweed cleanser, it’s
really cooling and refreshing on may face, particularly on those early
mornings!
TONER:
I recently picked up a
new product from the Boots Botanics range, in the form of the Botanics All Bright Toner as I really
get on well with their clay mask from the Botanics range. This has brightening
hibiscus and is meant to make your skin look brighter and less dull. I
personally haven’t found much difference in the brightness of my skin, but it’s
still a pretty good toner (for the price anyway) and preps my skin
for the next step in my skincare routine.
PADS:
Another new addition to my
skincare routine is the Nip + Fab Dragons Blood Cleansing Pads, which are great to boost hydration and
plumpness back into my skin, which is pretty lackluster. I just apply the pad all
over my face and it also cleanses my skin, that one step further.
FACIAL
OIL: I’ve switched the
serums, for a facial oil to see if it makes a difference to my skin. I’ve been
using the Pixi Rose Oil Blend* which
also helps with adding extra hydration into my skin and makes my skin appear
nice and glowing. This is also just a nice step to add into my skincare routine
as a little facial massage, each morning.
MOISTURISER:
As I have extremely
dehydrated skin, I have been on the hunt for a really hydrating moisturiser. In
the past I’ve used night time moisturiser, during the day for the added thickness and
hydration. I’ve finally found one that really works for me. The E45 cream is the best that I’ve found
so far. This is the most hydrating moisturiser that I have ever used and it
keeps my skin hydrated throughout the majority of the day and consequently has
made my makeup sit a lot better on my skin.
LIP
BALM: I always finish
off my skincare routine with applying lip balm to keep my lips hydrated and nourished.
My go to lip balm is the Nuxe Reve De Miel,
which is a thick lip balm, which acts as a lip balm and treatment all in
one. It also preps my lips for when I do my makeup.
