    AUTUMNAL PICKS

Along with winter, autumn is one of my favourite seasons, one of the reasons being because of the makeup. I love how much different is from spring/summer makeup, going from the more dewy and pinky, coral toned colours to the deep mattes purple and burgundy shades. On the whole, autumnal makeup in my opinion is nicer than spring/summer makeup but I do love to incorporate aspects of summer makeup into my autumnal face.

    FACE
When it comes to the face, I usually like to opt for a nice velvety finish foundation, as it's a hybrid of dewy and matte and is a nice middle ground. When the weather gets colder, I find that my skin gets slightly dull and starts to lack dewiness, therefore, I'll be keeping many highlighters close to hand to attract the light and add more dimension to my face. I tend to opt for deep purple blushes, but a subtle pink blush with shimmer looks a lot more natural, adding a hint of pink and giving a nice flushed look.
    EYES
I love to bring out the purples on the eyes as well, but the bronzes and taupes also make for  a really nice natural look. I love how for a simple daytime look, you can just wear a bronze or taupe eyeshadow and to spruce it up for the evening time for a more polished and put together look, you can incorporate a gorgeous plummy shade for a beautiful smokey eye. By experimenting with mattes and shimmers, you can end up with an array of textures.
    LIPS
I tend to wear deep purple and red lip products throughout the entire year, I just find that they suit my skin tone the best. There have been a lot of cool new launches recently and some firm staples in my collection.

What are your top picks for this autumn?
