    ETCHED: A MALIA THROWBACK

It’s no secret that I’m partial to a drink or two (or five) every now and again. I usually just stick to the mainstream brands I know regarding my alcohol, such as Smirnoff and Malibu, however I recently came across Etched, a company that supplies ‘personalized drinks for good times.” One of the things that I really like about Etched (apart from their drinks itself) is that their breweries, vineyards and distilleries are from all around the UK and their drinks are hand-labeled and packaged in their factory in Edinburgh, Scotland which I find adds an even more personal touch knowing that it hasn’t just been done by a machine and the fact that it comes from the UK is even better, as everything seems to be imported nowadays.

THE DRINKS: Etched have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages to choose from, to meet various preferences, whether you partial to a beer, wine, mead, cocktails, spirits and wine or something a little fancier, such as champagne. Even within the aforementioned categories, there is even more to choose from for example if like me, you like spirits, there is vodka, dry gin, whisky and rum.

THE PROCESS: To create your own personalized drink, there is a quick three-step process! Step number one is to choose your drink from the vast array available from alcopops, to cocktails and more hardcore forms of alcohol such as rum and gin. I obviously chose vodka, because that is my go-to alcoholic drink of choice. The BlackwoodsBotanical Vodka (£45.00)* has the highest percentage of vodka, I’ve personally tried at a whopping 40% due to being five times distilled. The second step is to create your own label. This is obviously the step where your drink becomes personalized. I chose a photo that was taken in Malia this summer at the full moon party with the caption “let’s get mortal!” because that was one of the motives whilst on holiday. I picked this photo from my photo album because, as you can imagine, a lot of alcohol was consumed and I liked it as a form of memorabilia. The third and final step is to place your order and delivery. My bottle came within a couple of days, which was a lot quicker than I thought, but for those of you lucky enough to live across the pond etc. there is international delivery, meaning that you can enjoy it too!

MALIA THROWBACK RECIPES: When I was in Malia, there were a few alcoholic drinks that I kept on getting. Tequila shot, vodka lemonade and the notorious headf*cker (which, by the way is absolutely disgusting, but I guarantee will get you p*issed!).
